Membership in the Worship Choir is composed of
Christian adults whose spirit and intent conform to
the belief that we are the worship leaders of our
church body, called to the ministry of music. The
purpose of our choir is to glorify, in music, the
message of the Bible and to serve as true companions
to the ministry of the preaching of the Word.
Professional musicianship is not a requirement, but a
desire and willingness to improve oneself through
learning opportunities and a commitment to regular
attendance is essential. Rehearsal for the Worship
Choir is every Wednesday at 7:45 p.m. in the
Sanctuary.
Kids
Praise Children’s Choir
Children ages four
years through the 5th grade learn to worship God
through music, participate in worship services, and
present musicals that teach Biblical truths through
song and choreography. Rehearsals are at 7:00 PM in
the Adventure Club Clubhouse. The choir is led by
Kathy Eblen and Sabrina Nallia.
Women’s Ensemble
The Women’s Ensemble is
a group of volunteer women. They sing on special
occasions in Sunday services. Rehearsals are seasonal
and are called when needed. Mrs. Pat Stone is the
director of this group.
Men’s
Ensemble
The Men’s
Ensemble is a group of volunteer men. Rehearsals are on Sunday
afternoons as needed. This group is involved in Sunday
services, providing special music and serving as the choir for
the annual Wickland Men’s Sunday. Marc Monroe is the director
and Dave Coffing is the Rehearsal Assistant.
Chamber Choir
The Wickland
Chamber Choir is a selected group of 8 to 10 musicians. The
chamber choir is a seasonal ensemble, which performs primarily
for the Good Friday Tenebrae service, and the annual
Christmas Eve service. This ensemble rehearses on a seasonal
basis. The director of this group is Marc Monroe, Minister of
Music.
Men’s Quartet
The Wickland Men’s Quartet is comprised of four
Christian men whose spirit and intent conform to the
belief that we are the worship leaders of our church
body, called to the ministry of music. The current
members of the quartet are Marc Monroe, Tenor; Joe
Taylor, Lead; Christopher Vaughn, Baritone; Dave
Coffing, Bass. The men’s quartet sings at various
times throughout the church year for special services
as well as for various events outside the worship
services. |
