ACHIEVEMENTS IN BUSINESS AND COMPETITION. TODAY, TOMMY IS THE CEO OF
NALLY & HAMILTON, HE CO-FOUNDED 35 YEARS AGO. HE STARTED WITH A SINGLE
BULLDOZER AND ONE END-LOADER AND HAS GROWN TO EMPLOY OVER 400 PEOPLE IN
KENTUCKY AND VIRGINIA. OLDEST OF TEN CHILDREN, BORN TO RICHARD
('32) AND ISABELLA HAMILTON . TOMMY ATTENDED FREDERICKTOWN
ELEMENTARY AND ENROLLED AS A BOARDING STUDENT AT ST. JOE PREP WHERE HE
GRADUATED IN 1957. AFTER GRADUATING FROM BELLARMINE UNIVERSITY,
TOMMY MARRIED HIS FIRST WIFE ETHEL PRYOR AND STATED THEIR FAMILY. HE
JOINED HIS FATHER'S HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION BUSINESS AND THEN MOVED INTO
COAL MINING BUSINESS. HIS COMPANY IS THE LARGEST INDEPENDENT SURFACE
MINING COMPANY IN THE REGION OF THE U.S.. TOMMY HAS SERVED ON ST
CATHERINE COLLEGE'S BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND WAS THE PRIMARY BENEFACTOR
FOR THE FUNDING OF THE RICHARD S. HAMILTON HEALTH & SCIENCE
BUILDING. WHICH TOMMY NAMED FOR HIS FATHER. TOMMY HAS MADE SPRINGFIELD, KENTUCKY HIS HOME FOR HIS WIFE BONNIE, THEIR FIVE CHILDREN, AND HIS TEN GRANDCHILDREN. HIS INTERESTS INCLUDE BREEDING, TRAINING AND RACING SPORTING ANIMALS. HE HAS EARNED CHAMPIONSHIP TITLES WITH HIS FIELD TRAIL DOGS AND SADDLE BRED HORSES. HIS ATTENTION TODAY IS THOROUGHBRED HORSE BREEDING AND RACING OPERATIONS. THEIR RECENT SUCCESS HAVE INCLUDED MULTIPLE GRADED STAKES RACE VICTORIES AND TWO ENTRIES IN THE 2007 KENTUCKY DERBY
