Small Group Family Reconciliation Sessions

As part of the preparation for First Reconciliation, families gather in small groups to pray, share Scripture and do various activities focused on God’s forgiving love and mercy.   One project is the creation of a cross for the child’s room.  Another is creating a Family Heart for the Reconciliation banner.   Families also decorate a link for the prayer chain which is used both in the celebration of First Reconciliation and First Eucharist.

God the Father of us all,

You have forgiven our sins

and sent us your peace.

Help us to forgive each other

and to work together to establish peace in the world.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.
